Our Projects. Drumming For A Cause.

These are only a few of the projects that we would like to produce throughout the year.

Through Circular Motion it is our desire to promote freedom of creativity and expression, provide a safe, non-judgemental environment in which participants can do this, promote common ground fellowship and carry out

our civic duty as citizens of this planet to work for the greater good of all.

Project 1. Circular Motion -
             Discovery

Using drums and drumming as the delivery platform, Circular Motion is a one hour workshop that is part education, part exploration & self-discovery, part entertainment and most importantly, all parts fun!

It allows participants to break though their personal barriers by gently pulling them out of their shell to look at and experience their environment in a totally new way.

This is especially helpful if they have issues with shyness, social awkwardness, and inhibition.

It has been well documented that these character traits often prevent people from excelling and achieving their optimum productivity potential both personally and professionally.

It's more than just a drum circle!

Just imagine how much additional creativity we could tap into if we could only free ourselves from ourselves - no inhibitions!

Circular Motion provides high impact team building and bonding through drumming circle sessions. We use drums and rhythm to focus on the principles of leadership development, interactive teamwork, and out-of-the-box thinking.

Kevin will empower your team by combining fundamental communication skills with his unique methodology. Each percussion and drumming workshop is tailored to meet predefined objectives that deliver tangible results with surprising impact.

Circular Motion is a fun, creative way to strengthen and enrich your corporate team, open new doors to their collective and individual creativity, and relieve the typical stresses that tend to build-up in a corporate environment.

Through a series of stories and performance demonstrations Kevin first teaches his audience the basics of creating and hearing rhythm. He demonstrates to the audience a whole new way of hearing and seeing the world around them differently.

Next, assorted rhythm and percussion instruments are distributed to the audience.  Kevin then leads the audience in the participation of a drum circle. It starts with a basic rhythm and evolves into whatever direction the audience decides to take it in. The result is a lot of fun as people begin to listen more closely to one another and begin to work together to create new rhythms. The intent is for everyone to “free themselves from themselves” and bring out their true creativity and emotion.

It is truly chicken soup for the corporate soul! You will be surprised at what an hour's worth of "brain candy" can do for the morale, the spirit and the overall corporate culture of your business.

Project 3. Drumming For Diabetes

Over nine million Canadians are living with diabetes or prediabetes. Chances are, diabetes affects you or someone you know. Most people do not even realize that they have diabetes. Some don't find out until it is too late.

Kevin was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 1997. Careful watch by his physician and meticulous care on his own part has result in Kevin living a healthy, normal lifestyle.  Early after Kevin's initial diagnosis, he realized that when he played his drums, his blood sugar levels became naturally reduced which of course support his control of the disease.

But others are less fortunate and less educated. We need to spread the word among our communities and enhance awareness about this silent killer.

DrumsForCures - Drumming For Hope

Everyone at some point in their life has been touched by cancer. Either through being a survivor themself or having to deal with a loved one's journey, this disease has got to be stopped. It is our hope that through our contribution and

in our lifetime this will happen.

DRUMMING FOR HOPE is simply that. Drumming to raise funds to donate to cancer research. Our vision is an annual event that provides an opportunity for public health entities, healthcare workers, cancer survivors and the general public to come together and drum for the sake of raising funds, building awareness of the benefits of early detection, and providing support to cancer patients.

DRUMMING FOR HOPE was created as a natural expression of our desire to make a viable contribution to and with the hope of beating cancer. Since rhythm like music is a universal language we decided that an event utilizing the art and fun of hands on drumming would be a great way to bring people together in the name of community. Next event - May 21, 2016.

Project 4. Drumming For YOGA

Kevin has been a regular resident hand-drummer for a number of Yoga classes in the southern-Ontario/GTA region including regular Yoga and Goat Yoga.  He works in tandem with the Yogi to help the class experience a whole new level of Yoga practice by introducing the rhythm of the drum to assist in their breathing.

Project 5. Drumming For Hunger

So many people today are living paycheck-to-paycheck or in financial dire straits, some of them are one bad decision away from ending up on the streets.  There are also those stricken by mental illness or other conditions that disable and prevent them from being able to earn a living.

Through our contribution of holding charitable events to benefit the local food banks, we hope to be able to raise funds and food donations to re-stock the shelves of these institutions that are so vital to many residents.
